Ovingham Bridge is expected to be closed for up to three weeks, to allow for a nearby road to be repair following collapse.
Diversion routes have been set up, with traffic is being diverted via the A69 and A696.
The bridge links Ovingham village with Low Prudhoe, on the opposite side of the river.

Update (10/02/2020 at 9am): Flood warnings have now been stood down.
Flood warnings have been issued for the River Tyne at BYWELL, CORBRIDGE, LOW PRUDHOE, OVINGHAM. Flooding is expected.
You should move cars to higher ground. People and pets should move upstairs with essential food and other valuable items. Gas, and electricity should be turned off before property floods.
